To allow customers to pay for power, water, and municipal taxes, Sharma stated that Paytm will set up its payment systems, such as the Paytm QR code, soundbox, and card machines, in all departments, including panchayats and municipalities.
“With this, users can make payments for various services through Paytm UPI, UPI Lite, Paytm wallet, netbanking, debit and credit cards,” he added.
As per Sharma, the company has been at the forefront of advancing the digital transformation in the nation through the development of the first-ever payment solutions as one of India's leading IT pioneers.
“We are happy to sign this exclusive MoU with the Government of Goa through which our users in the state can pay for various government services. Our innovative solutions continue to empower users and also drive financial inclusion in the country,” he added.
Based in Noida, Paytm is a multinational financial technology business with headquarters in India that specializes in digital payments and financial services. Vijay Shekhar Sharma, working for One97 Communications, founded it in 2010. Consumers can use the company's mobile payment services, and its point of sale, internet payment gateway, and QR code solutions make it possible for businesses to accept payments.
