Technology leader Cisco has marked an memorandum of understanding with Karnataka Innovation Technology Society (Packs) to prepare 40,000 people in cybersecurity skills and awareness. Women will address half of the prepared labor force to assist with meeting the developing requirement for cyber talent as associations hope to reinforce protections against an advancing and intricate threat landscape.

"As the digital-first world evolves, placing cybersecurity at the forefront, the imperative to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to identify and respond to cyber threats has become increasingly crucial,” said Harish Krishnan, managing director and chief policy officer, Cisco India and Saarc.

As per Cisco's Cybersecurity Readiness Index, 90% of associations in India anticipate that a cybersecurity incident should upset their organizations in the following 12 to 24 months. Also, as expressed by a Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) report, with 40% of Azcybersecurity groups in Indian associations understaffed, the criticalness for expertise readiness is evident. This coordinated effort highlights an aggregate obligation to equip students with work prepared cybersecurity skills.

The coordinated effort will incorporate a 'Train the Trainers' program to engage college resources with the information and abilities expected to make a hearty digital biological system. This program will encourage cyber awareness among residents to support their protections and enable them to be more secure and safer on the web. Moreover, Cisco will team up with the Government of Karnataka Centre of Excellence for Network protection to advance cybersecurity awareness and ability working among understudies and experts.

The firm will add to educational plan improvement by giving cybersecurity courses through Cisco Institute and lead online course meetings and information studios for students, covering a different scope of courses, from primary to cutting edge levels.
