Google names Satya Raghavan as director of marketing partners

Satya Raghavan, director of content partnership, Youtube has been elevated to director of marketing partners, Google India, stated media reports. He will also be handling his previously assigned position alongside the new responsibilities.

In his new role, Raghavan will be responsible for partnerships with creative and media agencies to drive digital transformation for the advertiser.

Prior to this, Raghavan was the chief executive officer and co-founder of a startup called SkoolShop. He has also served as the consumer marketing manager at Microsoft India. Raghavan was also the vice president of marketing at Star India.

He has pursued his MBA from Harvard Business School.

A company spokesperson from Youtube confirmed the elevation.

Satya is Director, Content Partnerships, YouTube in India. In this role, he heads the Entertainment Partnerships team which works with Top Creators, large Entertainment Partners including movie studios, TV broadcasters, news partners etc. Satya is responsible for working with these partners and scaling their presence and business on YouTube. Satya joined Google in 2014 and initially l ed the partnerships team which looked after aspiring and growing YouTube creators. While he was leading the team, he was instrumental i n putting together scaled programs to identify, nurture and grow creators. Satya also stewards all cross functional teams within YouTube in India.
