As a result, petrol users can transition to hydrogen fuel that burns cleanly without altering their energy provider or mode of transportation. At APPEA 2023 in Adelaide, Australia (15–18 May), Graforce and Worley will display plasmalysis facilities at the Worley-sponsored Hydrogen Pavilion highlighting the most recent advancements in the hydrogen industry and its effect on the decarbonization of industries and fossil fuels.
Australia is a major producer of natural gas and a major supplier of fuel globally. Germany will soon receive LNG and clean hydrogen thanks to ongoing projects. In addition, the nation wants to cut its CO2 emissions by more than 40% by 2030. To achieve both economic and climatic goals, sustainable technologies like plasmalysis are a must.
“The entire APAC region is looking for green technologies for existing energy sources to achieve climate targets. The cooperation with Worley is an important step for us to quickly scale our methane plasmalysis and to open up these markets,” said Dr. Jens Hanke, CTO of Graforce.
The energy, resource, and chemical industries receive large-scale engineering, procurement, and construction services from Worley. Customers in Australia and Asia who are interested in plasmalysis plants will be served by Worley's engineering and project delivery capabilities. Hydrocarbons like methane are broken down into their molecular components, hydrogen and solid carbon, in the modular plants by a high-frequency plasma field powered by renewable energy.
