In order to fill skill gaps in high-demand technology professions, ClearanceJobs, the nation's biggest professional network for those with federal security clearance, today announced a partnership with digital talent accelerator SkillStorm. The programme, which marks the first economic opportunity partnership for ClearanceJobs, will give the 1.4 million professionals using its platform access to instructor-led training that results in credentials from well-known tech companies like AWS, Salesforce, CompTIA, and Pega, assisting those with security clearances in starting and advancing their careers in technology.

"Government agencies and system integrators have faced a widening talent gap for a decade because of two related challenges: a shortage of workers with technology skills, and the slow pace of the application process for security clearance," said Evan Lesser, President of ClearanceJobs. "SkillStorm is uniquely qualified to address these challenges — by expanding the pool of qualified talent with both the skills and the clearance to succeed."

One of the most often requested credentials for tech professionals is a security clearance, yet the federal workforce is severely short on talent due to a prolonged backlog in clearance applications. The new alliance aims to address this issue by giving ClearanceJobs members training opportunities in the most in-demand technologies and giving companies access to a select pool of freshly certified technical professionals who already have security clearances.

Now that ClearanceJobs profiles are available, job seekers can use SkillStorm's distinctive training platform to obtain credentials from top IT businesses that are recognised in the field. Employers using the site can then find employees who possess the necessary digital expertise and security clearance to succeed in their positions.

"Tech workers with security clearance are handling some of the most important, sensitive work in the country — which is why it's so important that we ensure employers have access to strong talent pipelines," said Justin Vianello, CEO of SkillStorm. "Together with ClearanceJobs, we're working to close this critical talent gap and lay a new foundation for the future of the federal tech workforce."
