To meet the growing demand for sophisticated, streamlined management of cybersecurity, compliance, and governance of multi-cloud environments, Bitdefender, a pioneer in global cybersecurity, today announced it had reached an agreement to acquire Singapore's Horangi Cyber Security.

 

Organisations are struggling to manage the multitude of configuration options, rights, identities, and entitlements provided by various cloud providers as they continue to increase their cloud use. Misconfigured cloud resources continue to be the main cause of cloud-related data breaches, claims Gartner®.1 Application of configuration management and least privilege for organisations is made simpler by a single point of information and control across numerous hybrid-cloud systems.

 

To complement its industry-leading threat prevention, protection, detection, and response capabilities, Bitdefender will integrate Horangi's Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM) and Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) capabilities into its GravityZone unified risk and security analytics platform. This will add crucial compliance and governance capabilities. Additionally, Horangi's security services will interface with and enhance Bitdefender Managed Detection & Response (MDR) services. These services include proactive risk assessment, red teaming, and penetration testing.
