The alliance's main goal is to provide Palestinian small- and medium-sized businesses, e-commerce entrepreneurs, webpreneurs, and innovators with reliable, easy-to-use payment options so they may do online and social media business.
By enabling smooth online payments, recurring payments, electronic invoicing, and accepting payments from clients in US dollars, Jordanian dinars, and local currency, PayTabs and MEPS Palestine seek to fulfill these goals. PayTabs' complete stack technological platform and features are designed to increase payment acceptance flexibility, particularly when using Visa and MasterCard payment methods.
Using PayTabs's online payment services Palestinian online shops and retailers will also be able to use PayLinks to conduct business on social media platforms including Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. According to data report, 2.95 million people in Palestine used social media in January 2023, making up 56% of the entire population. Additionally, more than 80% of the population has access to mobile devices, creating a significant possibility for social commerce.
The World Economic Forum reports that many Palestinian businesses are already providing delivery services through social media channels. Importantly, they provide a variety of goods, from groceries to electronics and fitness equipment. For the first time ever, many Palestinians are now enjoying the ease of ordering a product online and having it delivered right to their home. This new development is intriguing.
It goes without saying that the pandemic forced most cash-based economies around the world—including Palestine—to accelerate the use of digital payments. As a result, PayTabs' competitive product pricing and cost-effective website integration solutions will help Palestinian retailers grow their companies and become profitable in the online market.
