Nextivity has unveiled a fresh solution that merges its Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement System (ERCES) with Distributed Antenna System (DAS) technology. This innovation is designed to improve emergency responses in educational institutions and communal spaces. The system features acoustic gunshot detection capabilities, a pioneering addition for DAS, aiding in the advancement of public safety measures.

The Nextivity ERCES products, which consist of SHIELD EXTEND and SHIELD SOLO, are connected with the Nextivity WAVE Edge Services. This connection enables important features for public safety, including server-side antenna monitoring and panic button notifications that align with Alyssa’s Law. The implementation of patented IntelliBoost technology permits the DAS infrastructure to function as a sensor network while sustaining wireless signal coverage. This advanced integration enhances real-time diagnostics, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with public safety regulations and Risk management.

Nextivity’s CEO Michiel Lotter stated, “We are very happy to see our advanced DAS technologies working together to deliver solutions that help keep people safe.”He emphasized the organization's extensive experience in the public safety industry and pointed out the integration of technology in their products as a crucial element for property owners in the ERCES market. Lotter will showcase the new technological advancements on March 18 at the IWCE conference, covering the uses of artificial intelligence (AI) in gunshot detection and its significance in emergency planning.
