Ripplr: India's First Plug-n-Play Distribution Ecosystem for FMCG Brands

CIO Vendor In recent years, the Indian retail industry has seen substantial technological develop-ments as well as the launch of hundreds of startups. Retail companies are developing cutting-edge technology and new solutions ranging from shelf monitoring to enhancing brand engagement and minimizing consumer churn, resulting in market expansion. Founded by Abhishek Nehru and Santosh Dabke in 2019, Ripplr is a B2B retail technology platform that offers Distribution as a Service to FMCG brands using an asset-light strategy within the existing infrastructure.

Ripplr is a full-stack tech distribution player that provides plug-and-play technologies and data-driven analytics. The company's platform enables AI-based predictions and decisions, effective loading and routing decisions, live inventory, and buying habits, enabling both new and traditional brands to provide a seamless customer experience by raising consumers' expectations for certainty and quality. “We are focused on digitizing the multi-Billion dollar distribution industry where large players are still traditional to take products and services to retailer market through a plug-n-play, highly visible and easy-to-scale Supply Chain platform”, speaks Vishal Sharma, CTO, Ripplr.

Ripplr’s system has a strong moat for connecting to all layers of distribution, retail intelligence, and logistics. The firm operates in the Retail and Enterprise Applications areas, as well as the broad market segments of Artificial Intelligence, Technology, Enterprise, and Software. As a B2B retail technology platform, Ripplr is well-positioned to provide FMCG brands with a one stop solution for complicated distribution issues.

“India being one of the largest geographies by land mass has proven to be the most complex market for all the Brands both Local & Global across sectors since
Inception. As Consumerism is rising to New Highs, it is need of the hour to solve these Supply Chain & Distribution Challenges by innovating Tech solutions which can be easily adapted by both Brands & Partners to create a wow effect. We at Ripplr are building a Full Stack Supply Chain & Distribution Tech platform partnering with FMCG Brands to provide Cost Efficient Solutions solving the necessary evils of Reach & Discovery”, says Santosh, Founder, Ripplr.

Emerging FMCG companies can utilize Ripplr platform as a conduit to increase their market reach and awareness by utilizing AI and a plug-and-play model. In addition to information on current inventory, market dynamics and purchasing trends, it also offers solutions for routing, and fleet management. The company's business strategy is to assist family-owned distributors in acquiring digital capabilities through the Ripplr platform.

Leveraging predictive analytics to manage demand & inventory for both brand owners and merchants

“By using two models concurrently to satisfy market expectations, we are strategizing to meet those objectives. One of them is a full stack Supply Chain Distribution platform for the top 12-15 metro areas where we'll partner with manufacturers as an authorized distributor and provide them with structured distribution and sales solutions. The distribution partner model, which is our second distribution strategy, will be introduced in smaller cities and towns. In smaller areas, there are businesses with conventional family owned distributors who have been working with brands for the past few decades. They can join our platform, and we can assist them in surviving the intense competition and grow in the market”, shares Abhishe, Founder, Ripplr.

By providing information on sales orders, live inventory, and buying trends, Ripplr enables well-known and cutting-edge businesses to successfully establish distribution channels and logistical agreements while reducing stock waste and overhead costs, allowing them to concentrate on innovation and brand development. According to current statistics, the company has operations in 12 different cities and partnerships with 18 major FMCG companies, including Britannia, ITC, Godrej, Nestle, and others. "We want to expand our business to at least 20–25 cities this year, and then perhaps 50–100 cities over the next two years”, signs off Vishal.
