The Next G Alliance of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) and the Bharat 6G Alliance have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore collaborative prospects on 6G wireless technologies. The work will include integrating research and development goals to achieve a shared 6G vision, as well as developing secure and trusted telecoms and resilient supply chains.

The Next G Alliance, launched by the ATIS, is a private-sector-led project to promote North American wireless technology leadership over the next decade, with an initial focus on 6G. Working groups in applications, green G, national 6G roadmap, societal and economic demands, spectrum, and technology are laying the groundwork for North American leadership in 6G and beyond.

The Bharat 6G Alliance is a collaboration of Indian business, academia, national research institutions, and standards bodies. The goal is to design, develop, and implement technology and innovations that provide an intelligent and safe solution for high-quality living experiences for citizens in India and around the world.

The Bharat 6G Alliance aims to improve the ecosystem for telecom product and solution research, design, development, IPR creation, field testing, security, certification, and manufacturing, among other things. The agreement was signed by ATIS President and CEO Susan Miller and N. G. Subramaniam, Chair of the Bharat 6G Alliance.

“Defining what it takes to deliver next generation wireless leadership is an audacious undertaking," said ATIS President and CEO Susan Miller. “ATIS has entered into collaboration agreements with Korea's 5G Forum, Japan's Beyond 5G Promotion Consortium and Europe's 6G Smart Networks and Services Industry Association (6G-IA).
