CloudExtel selects former Vi exec Deepak Saxena as VP of wireline services

CloudExtel, a full-stack Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) provider has appointed Vodafone Idea's Deepak Saxena as Vice President of Wireless Services. He will be based out of Mumbai.
“We are delighted to welcome Deepak Saxena as Senior Vice President, Wireline Services. He will be a part of the core leadership team of CloudExtel and will be responsible for scaling and accelerating NaaS for Telecom Service Providers (TSPs), Internet Service Providers (ISPs), data centres, and prominent OTT players,” the firm said in an update on Linkedin.
“Delighted to be a part of a future-ready organization like CloudExtel. I will be part of the core leadership team, focusing on wirelines services, scaling, and speeding up NaaS for TSPs, ISPs, data centre and large OTT players,” Saxena commented on his appointment.
Saxena has earlier worked at Vodafone Idea as Vice President from October 2018 to June 2022, where he headed a consolidated unit of optical fiber network comprising planning projects and operations for pan-India.
He was also responsible for integrating and reconciling optical fiber cable assets, which became critically important, especially after the merger of erstwhile Vodafone India and Idea Cellular, as per the executive’s Linkedin profile.
