The Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship of the Government of India has chosen German technology company Certif-ID International GmbH (Certif-ID) as its technology partner to roll out its digital credentialing and future of work platform to support Indian talents in obtaining recognition and employment opportunities throughout the world. NSDC International Ltd. is a subsidiary of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

Ved Mani Tiwari, COO (Officiating CEO) of NSDC, and Timothy Miller, the founder and Managing Director of Certif-ID International, signed the deal.

The platform collaborates with aspirants to help them realise their dreams of working abroad. To help skilled professionals, employers, and training providers gain trust and transparency in the sourcing process, Certif-ID offers technology and training solutions. With the help of digital tools, CVs, videos, and a wallet containing verifiable credentials anchored in the blockchain, Certif-ID enables candidates to stand out from the competition. Employers can quickly and easily confirm the legitimacy of applicant documents.

By 2025, NSDC wants to assist 3 million job seekers in finding employment abroad. Technology is essential to reaching this objective. Verifiable credentials, intelligent skill matching, training advice, and competency and skill evaluations serve as the cornerstone for ensuring that candidates fulfil the demands of global markets. Building an international framework for shared talents will transform the way applicants present their skills and how training is provided.

Ved Mani Tiwari, COO (Officiating CEO) of NSDC, said, "In line with our new brand identity and focus, we are committed to achieving the country's skill development mission. We are therefore excited to partner with Certif-ID and adopt their verifiable skilling platform and in partnership develop the world's largest Phygital Skilling Ecosystem. With an initial focus on International markets, we are creating a verifiable talent pool of internationally recognized talent, and in doing so fulfilling our promise to reduce skill gaps across the world."

Talking about this partnership, Timothy Miller, Founder and Managing Director of Certif-ID, stated that, "India has a unique opportunity to leverage its demographic dividend and provide skilled resources for the world. NSDC is paving the way for skilled professionals to gain international recognition and secure lucrative employment opportunities abroad. At Certif-ID we are excited and humbled to be selected by NSDC as its technology partner for this aspiring journey."

As part of this initiative, NSDC and Certif-ID will identify qualified candidates and provide them with support as they upgrade their skills, pick up new languages, and become more culturally aware of global markets. Successful candidates receive globally recognised digital credentials from NSDC to begin their journey as a candidate. Credentials are kept in a virtual wallet called "SkillPass" and are anchored on the blockchain. Then, candidates can create a cutting-edge digital, verifiable portfolio of their experiences and skills, which is shared directly with recruiters around the world.

With the help of its Overseas Skilling Centers, the National Skills Development Council (NSDC) accredits outstanding talent across the nation and gives applicants the chance to create a digital skills profile, keep upskilling, and apply for skill-matched international job opportunities. The platform will eventually automate a large portion of the visa issuing, document validation, and talent verification processes to enable easy access for foreign recruiters and businesses.
