Nokia, on tuesday launched a digital twin solution and a 5G video camera for industries, and added a new range of wearable devices to its portfolio.

“The addition of new wearable devices and digital twinning will give manufacturers, mining, public safety agencies and other organizations, more ways to securely connect people and machines, unlock the value of their data and support even more demanding use cases,” the Finnish telecom gear maker said.

Nokia, along with its new partner Savox, will offer handheld remote speaker microphones, headsets with noise cancellation, and helmet-compatible headsets for workers to help connect on the go while also enhancing situational awareness.

In addition to a wearable camera with or without push-to-talk functionality, the company has launched a ‘Nokia Industrial 5G video camera’ with special focus on low-light performance and image quality. The video camera can be connected to the company’s private wireless 5G network and offer real-time video analytics, face recognition, object identification, defect detection, etc.

The Nokia Network Digital Twin for private wireless enables the organization to view its network’s real-time and historical performance as measured from the Nokia Industrial devices deployed on-premise, allowing the enterprise to ensure that the network service level agreements are maintained.
