The integration of the AndeSight IDE with the LDRA tool suite has been announced by Andes Technology, a leading provider of high efficiency, low-power 32/64-bit RISC-V processor cores and a founding premier member of RISC-V International.
Developers can create and maintain applications on Andes RISC-V CPU solutions for increasingly complex and safety-critical industries like aerospace, automotive, railway, industrial, and medical thanks to the integration with LDRA's comprehensive set of software standards compliance, testing, and verification tools. Software becomes safer, more secure, effective, and capable as a result of this compliance.
In order to enable compilation, linking, programming, and execution in the AndeSight environments, the LDRA tool suite integrates with the AndeSight integrated development environment (IDE) coupled with the eclipse plugin. Through included paths, macros, and other options, the LDRA tool suite provides the built-in import functionality to lessen the static analysis efforts of AndeSight project files.
Using the AndeSight IDE or the AndeShape evaluation boards as simulator targets, the LDRA tool set performs dynamic analysis. In order to give developers a head start, this enables users to run system and unit tests utilising the Andes infrastructure that is already in place.
The AndeSight IDE now has the following extra features thanks to the integration with the LDRA toolkit:
Source code static analysis
Software dynamic analysis, including modified condition/decision coverage (MC/DC) on the host and target
Software unit/integration testing on the host and target
Improved code quality, safety, and security
Reduced testing time and cost
