The competition jury assigned the UX Design Awards to eight solutions showcasing outstanding accomplishments in design and user integration. The award winners range from a highly flexible logistics service allowing real time customer control, through a virtual home planning application combining virtual and augmented reality, to a connected hearing aid system specifically tailored to hearing impaired children needs.
The awardees include renowned companies as well as upcoming start-ups. In its considerations for this year’s award, the jury placed an emphasis on product solutions developed from a consistent user perspective. The awards highlight solutions that offer new usage scenarios or increase user benefits through an innovative approach or significant improvements.
All winners and nominees will be presented at IFA in Berlin until September 7. From September 2 until the end of October the public may cast votes for their favourite nominees on the awards website. The winner of the UX Design Award: Public Choice will be announced at the beginning of November.
The UX Design Awards honour outstanding design and user orientation in products, digital solutions and services. The competition is bestowed annually by the International Design Center Berlin (IDZ).
