To make the deployment, automation, and improvement of joint customers' Zero Trust security across their organisations easier, Cloudflare and Microsoft have announced the expansion of their relationship.

Businesses can instal seamless Zero Trust security with the new connectors between Cloudflare One and Microsoft Azure Active Directory without changing a single line of code.

With seven Private Network Interconnects (PNI) and more than 110 public peerings, Microsoft and Cloudflare operate on a highly connected network.

It's crucial for Australian CIOs and businesses to rethink their approach to security and move towards a Zero Trust framework as they handle remote work and the migration of essential apps to the cloud.

Customers may implement Zero Trust security capabilities quickly and without requiring difficult code modifications thanks to a new set of connectors that Cloudflare has created with Microsoft.

To assist CIOs in preventing cyberattacks, these integrations connect Microsoft Identity solutions with Cloudflare network security products.

Mutual customers can now quickly deploy Zero Trust security technologies and add industry-first capabilities like Cloudflare's Remote Browser Isolation technology without requiring complicated code changes.

A cloud-native Zero Trust security architecture is now absolutely necessary, according to Joy Chik, President of Identity and Network Access at Microsoft, as businesses continue to adopt a cloud-first strategy.

“Cloudflare has developed robust product integrations with Microsoft to help security and IT leaders prevent attacks proactively, dynamically control policy and risk, and increase automation in alignment with Zero Trust best practices.” said Chik

Matthew Prince, CEO and co-founder at Cloudflare said, “When I speak with CIOs, I continue to hear that their number one concern remains security, closely followed by adapting to the new hybrid world,”

“We want to make it easier than ever for IT leaders to deploy Zero Trust security across the enterprise and keep users safe wherever they are working from.”

“I’m thrilled that we are deepening our integration with Microsoft so we can help our joint customers easily deploy Zero Trust security across some of the most used applications in the workplace.” he said

Since 2018, Cloudflare and Microsoft have worked together to defend web apps, offer identity and device protections, and generally improve the internet experience for their respective customers.

Some of the largest Fortune 500 firms have benefited from Cloudflare's deep integration with Microsoft 365 and Azure by moving toward a Zero Trust model since it makes it simple for them to meet their performance and safety criteria.
