For Scaling Wireless Development Center in India, Silicon Labs Appoints Dr. Manish Kothari

Silicon Labs, which is a renowned provider of silicon, software and solutions for a smarter, highly connected world, today appointed Dr. Manish Kothari to the IoT leadership team. As vice president of the labs, Kothari will contribute to the growth of the wireless engineering talent, build scalable infrastructure, and foster local partnerships in Hyderabad. Silicon Labs newest and fastest growing wireless development center is located in Hyderabad.

Kothari with him brings 20+ years’ of technology management experience, and most recently serving as the head of the wireless software product development at Qualcomm Hyderabad.

Kothari has developed and managed teams of more than 1000 wireless developers, and has 100+ patents to his name. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, and received his MS and PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

In Hyderabad, Silicon Labs established its center with the acquisition of Redpine Signals’ connectivity in April 2020. The acquisition increased the strength of the lab’s position as the leading provider of the IoT wireless solutions with the additions of extensive WiFi 6 and Bluetooth Low Energy businesses. It also helped with broad patent portfolio.

The Hyderabad center is driving further momentum in the smart home, industrial IoT, and commercial markets for customers who has requisites of entering market quickly with WiFi enabled connected devices.

The Hyderabad center of Silicon Labs’ headcount has increased 30 percent since the Redpine Signals acquisition.

Silicon Lab continues to hire hardware and software engineers in Hyderabad and candidates might review and apply for open positions there.
