Hitachi CTA Announces Availability of vMC Solution Suite for Wireless Service Providers

RICHARDSON, TX: Hitachi Communication Technologies America, a provider of communications equipment and solutions for network operators has released virtual Mobile Core (vMC) solution suite that supports a mobile network operator's preferred platform choice.

The suite helps the wireless service providers to easily deploy carrier-grade Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) applications on to the Telco cloud. The company’s network functions, with commercial NFVI architecture benefit the network elements to add capacity without complexity.

Hitachi CTA's virtual Mobile Core (vMC) solution suite consists of several Telco Cloud Carrier-grade products which can be deployed either standalone or in combinations based on operator needs. The suite includes Mobility Management Entity (MME), MME-XT3, GPRS Support Node (SGSN), Small Cell Gateway, EMS and VNF Manager. Hitachi CTA's MME-XT3 - (MME-eXTended capabilities) is a composite VNF combining MME, SGSN and an integrated SGW that provides a S5/S8 interface to the Packet Data Network Gateway (PGW).

The vMC solution suite manages millions of new LTE and machine to machine (M2M) devices; manages 4G device transactions rates; offers radio access network connectivity; eliminates race conditions; and eases operator’s Domain Name System (DNS) configuration.
