MELVILLE, N.Y.: Honeywell has introduced two multilingual demo apps for its LYNX Touch 5200 and 7000 home security systems to help dealers demonstrate functions easily. It works with security systems that are outfitted with a Wi-Fi or Ethernet alarm communications module.
The app – Lynx Connect – enables dealers and integrators to transition between English, Spanish and French languages within the same app and allows them to demonstrate system capabilities in a language preferred by the customer .It provides local control of the security system, and if equipped, control of Z-wave enabled lights, locks and thermostats.
The other key feature of this app is that it allows the users to view system cameras from their iPad, iPhone and Android device. It can be of great help to the dealers to demonstrate the process of performing functions like arming and disarming the door, viewing video, opening and closing of garage doors, modification of thermostats, control of lights and door locks.
Also, the app has facilitated translation of consumer marketing materials for instant and on-the-spot access. Talking about connected homes, Alan Stoddard , senior marketing director, Honeywell Security Products Americas said that the recently released Lynx Connect app could help in reaching out to a diverse group of consumers. “Apps like these will help dealers demonstrate to customers the power of the ‘Connected Home’ and how it will enhance their everyday lives, as well as their security,” adds Alan
