Mumbai: The multinational technology & corporate culture pioneer HP has announced that its HP Converged Infrastructure is chosen by the leading Credit Information Company, Credit Information Bureau (India) Limited (CIBIL) to enhance the performance of IT operations. The implementation is aimed to meet the needs of its intensifying customer base and also to accelerate business growth. Headquartered in Mumbai, CIBIL has been helping the lone providers and consumers to secure credit faster and at better terms since its inception in 2000.

Hewlett Packard (NYSE: HPQ) is a U.S. based IT corporation that provides hardware, software and services to leverage people, businesses, governments and society. The 1939 born brand has a current market cap of $63.4 billion and has been implementing cloud, security and big data solutions to resolve customer’s complex challenges across world.

In order to grow in the expanding domain of India’s economy and financial services, CIBIL needed a key to grow. Since its existing technology infrastructure had limited scalability and was becoming complex and costly to operate, the Bureau has picked HP BladeSystem c7000 to consolidate its HP BL 890i4 Unix Blades Servers and HP 3PAR StoreServ 7000 storage into a converged infrastructure.

The consolidation will enable CIBIL to handle larger volumes of transactions and speed up the delivery of CIBIL Report and CIBIL TransUnion Scores to its growing customer base. In addition it also helps to scale the IT infrastructure by up to 70 percent and the flexibility to increase capacity without any additional capital investments. Besides HP provides mission critical level support with HP Datacenter Care across CIBIL’s hardware and software, ensuring that the company’s IT operations run smoothly.

“With sustained retail credit growth alongside an improved economic environment, business volumes are growing steadily and therefore the size of CIBIL’s consumer and commercial bureau is increasing rapidly. Through HP Converged Infrastructure solutions, we are best placed to manage our growth and provide best quality services quickly and easily to individuals, businesses and financial institutions,” says Sudesh Puthran, Chief Information Officer, CIBIL India.
