IndusInd Bank assigns Head-IT Infrastructure Projects

IndusInd Bank Limited has appointed Saumil Purani as Vice President & Head – IT Infrastructure Projects. He will be based out of Mumbai & will report to the company’s CTO, Bhavesh Lakhani.
In the new position, he will be responsible for leading the company’s multi-cloud & digital transformation journey and will act as a catalyst for other key IT infrastructure initiatives to drive business growth.
“Pandemic has changed the way of doing business in all verticals. It is expected from IT to provide on- demand, scalable & secure infrastructure & services to drive rapidly changing business requirements,” said Purani.
Earlier Purani was Manager-Service Delivery at VMware. He has close to 20 years of professional experience and has worked with companies like IIFL, IBM, Euronet and Patni Computers.
IndusInd Bank Limited is a new-generation Indian bank headquartered in Pune. The bank offers commercial, transactional and electronic banking products and services. IndusInd Bank was inaugurated in April 1994 by then Union Finance Minister Manmohan Singh.
Purani has done his MBA in Information Systems from NMIMS University, Mumbai and Bachelors in Engineering [Electronics] from Mumbai University. He also holds professional certifications in project management [PMI-PMP] & program management [PMI-PGMP] from PMI USA.
