Kodak, Treeview announce distribution partnership for televisions

QThree Ventures announced a distribution partnership for its Kodak and Treeview brand of televisions. As part of the partnership, Kodak and Treeview’s range of televisions would be made available on the udaan platform.

QThree Ventures provides a full spectrum of retail, supply chain, warehousing facility, distribution and wholesale capabilities for the consumer electronics industry – including marketing, logistics and services support to several global and domestic electronic brands. In India, QThree Ventures is the official offline channel partners for Kodak and Treeview brand of televisions. Kodak is one of the ‘Made in India’ brands which manufactures smart TV ranges and Treeview is the manufacturer of LED TVs in Thailand.

In a statement, Jubin Peter, Managing Director, Qthree Ventures said, “Indian entertainment industry is waking up to new avenues and micro markets which is driven by strong regional vernacular contents. Thanks to the new OTT content and rapid proliferation of regional content, a never heard of trend in regional entertainment industry is waking up and smart television at home is the new ‘hero’. udaan's micro market GTM strategy along with aggressive smart tv products of Treeview and Kodak from Qthree house of distribution will make a mark in the growing smart tv market of India.”

Kodak and Treeview range of televisions will be available under the electronics category on the udaan platform to electronics and large appliances retailers across 100 cities in East and North-East India.

“This arrangement highlights the national distribution and, supply chain strengths of udaan resulting in cost efficiencies that the platform offers to its partner brands while entering new markets. Having onboarded large number of electronics & appliances brands in the last one year, is part of our strategy to further strengthen our portfolio of large appliances going forward,” said Hirendrakumar Rathod, Head - Electronics Category, udaan, in a statement.

The electronics category on the udaan platform caters to retailers across 1000 towns and cities covering 12000 pin codes. Several large manufacturers and brands such as Apple, Samsung SanDisk, boAt etc. have already leveraged udaan’s distribution network and access to newer markets. In addition, retailers across Bharat get access to a wide array of selection at affordable prices on the platform from leading brands and manufacturers.

Kodak will be the first Indian TV brand to officially partner with Google for Android, to bring India manufactured and affordable smart TV range with Android 9 operating system. Kodak is constantly innovating to bring patented technology that’s at par with international standards, for Indian consumption.
