RAISE 2020 summit: India Eyeing towards becoming the global hub

The Government of India for Social Empowerment (RAISE 2020) today kicked off its global AI summit- Responsible AI. For this, all the top individuals including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CEO of Niti Aayog Amitabh Kant, Minister of Electronics & Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad, and Reliance managing director Mukesh Ambani would be negotiating about this next-generation and its power to develop various sectors in India.

PM Narendra Modi, during the RAISE 2020 keynote event, said that it’s a ‘great effort’ to encourage discussion on AI and also added that on how technology has and will transform workplaces.

He further added that it has drastically improved connectivity across India while at the same time has enriched ‘AI with Human Touch’. This will further see a significant growth due to the merger between social responsibility and AI.

Eyeing towards becoming the global hub for AI, PM said that the boost would be the launch of responsible AI for youth programs launched in April where over 11,000 students from various schools had completed the basic course so as to build AI-driven projects.

He also said that the AI should solve the problems of society, and not worsen it. Hence, some of the most important areas where the AI would play a pivotal role are in reducing traffic jams, improving sewage systems, making disaster management systems stronger and also solving the problem of climate change.
