Tushar Kanti Paul becomes new DoT advisor, replacing Ramchand

Tushar Kanti Paul, a 1982-batch Indian Telecommunications Services (ITS) Group - A officer will be the new advisor - Technology at the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), according to the official sources.
Tushar Kanti Paul is ready to take a formal charge on May 17, 2021, with the voluntary retirement of K Ramchand a 1982-batch ITS officer.
In May, last year, Tushar Kanti Paul, was working as an advisor for WB LSA, have being entrusted with the additional charge of director general (DG) - Telecom.
Ramchand, a 1982-batch ITS officer, however, he quits the crucial advisory post with effect from May 13.
Last year, a panel headed by Ramchand, had made a slew of suggestions that included using Indian core for the rollout of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited's (BSNL) fourth generation or 4G network, a condition which was opposed by the state-run telco.
