Zoho, a Chennai-headquartered global technology company, today announced the extension of its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The partnership is aimed at providing the Chartered Accountant (CA) community with a powerful cloud-based finance platform to streamline their operations, enable real-time collaboration with clients, and increase productivity. The signing ceremony took place at the ICAI headquarters in Delhi on May 25, 2023.

As per the MoU, Zoho will provide its top selling product from the finance platform: Zoho Books (GST-compliant accounting software), Zoho Payroll (payroll
management software), Zoho Expense (expense management software), and Zoho Inventory (inventory management software) for free for more than three lakh
members of the ICAI across the country. Zoho Books is also compliant with the latest mandates like e-invoicing and audit trail, and allows direct filing of GST returns. This ensures that CAs can rely on Zoho Books to adhere to new regulations, and ensure future-proof compliance, while streamlining their finances.

“As technology continues to rapidly advance in accounting, and with the evolving compliance needs in India, it is important for CAs to stay ahead of the curve as role models for business owners. We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with the ICAI through the extension of our MoU. Zoho is committed to supporting the CA community by providing them with the tools, powered by the latest technology, that help them simplify compliance, embrace digital transformation, and scale their practice in today’s fast-paced business landscape,” said Prashant Ganti, Head of Product Management, Zoho Finance and Operations Suite.

Aniket Talati, President, ICAI said, “ICAI constantly endeavours to provide our members with access to cloud-based finance solutions that will help them embrace latest technology, and digitise their practice. We look forward to the opportunities that this collaboration brings to the CA community.”
