UrbanV, a pioneer in vertiport design and administration, and Lilium N.V, the creator of the first all-electric vertical take-off and landing jet, have announced their partnership for the creation of infrastructure for advanced air mobility. With an initial focus on Italy and the French Riviera, where UrbanV will begin operations, the firms' agreement to construct vertiport infrastructure will enable eVTOL networks for Lilium aircraft and clients, with the potential for more markets in the future.

 

UrbanV's significant design and infrastructure expertise for the development of vertiports offers effective and sustainable advanced air mobility to urban centres. Lilium will gain from their established presence and convenient access to major airports in Rome, Venice, Bologna, Nice, Cannes, St. Tropez, and the surrounding regions. The infrastructure needed to support the first viable eVTOL routes will be the initial area of study.

 

To fully utilise the vast potential of the Lilium Jet, vertiports, which are the equivalent of helipad-sized take-off and landing platforms for eVTOL aircraft, are essential. To connect communities, vertiports offer access to inexpensive, high-speed, sustainable services. The collaboration between Lilium and UrbanV will let people get about more quickly and effectively while also enabling some of the first high-end eVTOL flights within Europe.
