“We understand that customers dislike unwarranted calls and feel safe communicating via verified customer care channels only. We are happy to partner with Truecaller – one of the most trusted caller ID service providers, to offer more secure and verified communication to our customers,” Ashish Sharma, executive vice president – customer service, Vi said.
Through features like Truecaller's "trustworthy call indicators," such as a green caller id, a tamper-proof brand name and logo, a verified business badge, a category tag, and call reason, Vi customers can identify genuine calls from Vi when using the Verified Business Caller ID solution, the telco said.
“Our Verified Business solution has become integral to the industry's effort to build a more secure and trusted communication environment," Priyam Bose, global head, go-t-market (GTM) at Truecaller said.
Truecaller Verified Business Solution supports trustworthy customer communication by giving business calls brand identification and context. Vi noted that the technology increases business call efficiency and safety while reducing phone-related frauds and scams. Fraudulent social media accounts or even bogus websites may contain contact information posted by con artists pretending to be a company's customer service department. A consumer opens themselves up to fraud when they call the numbers listed on such bogus platforms.
