As part of a worldwide expansion, WhiteHat Jr will foray into non-English speaking countries of Brazil and Mexico by launching maths classes and hire one lakh women teachers in next three years.
In an interview to PTI , WhiteHat Jr Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Karan Bajaj said “The barely two-year old online education platform has seen tremendous success in India, the US, the UK, New Zealand and Australia with about 1.5 lakh paid students taking some 40,000 classes everyday from 11,000 teachers.”
To create 1,00,000 teaching jobs, all for women, in India in the next three years, he said that they would be adding a one-on-one teaching model and will be starting the maths class from next month.
"We are now starting tests in Brazil and Mexico with local teachers and local students," he said. Depending on cash flows, he added that the company will build its international presence in a measured way.
Karan said, “The teachers, from the comfort of their homes and flexi timing, earn equivalent to entry-level salaries of IIT and IIM graduates, and will offer jobs to super qualified women who were not fully employed.”
