BROADSOFT Expands Mobile-First Unified Communications And Portal Applications Powered By UC-ONE

BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ: BSFT), a global unified communication as a service (UCaaS) provider recently announced the launch of three new UC-One® applications. The first two address the diverse communications and collaboration needs of today’s mobile-centric workforce. The third application, UC-One Enterprise Portal, enables IT administrators and end users to manage UC-One services directly. These were unveiled at Enterprise Connect 2016 in Orlando, Florida.

The applications reaffirm BroadSoft’s mobile-first and user experience focused UC strategy for end-users, enterprise administrators, and service providers. UC-One is BroadSoft’s suite of unified communications services that combines enterprise PBX, HD voice and video, business directories, call logs, instant messaging and presence, one number service, and My Room conferencing and collaboration. These critical services are offered regardless of the user’s mobile device or type of connectivity. As a result of BroadSoft’s mobile-first and user-centric approach, business users can work smarter from anywhere, at any time and with any device.

UC-One Connect

A unified communications user experience designed around the smartphone, UC-One Connect is a highly focused mobile-first messaging application for business users that integrates individual and group chat (IM), voice calling, call settings like Forwarding and DND, and presence. UC-One Connect is optimized for iOS and Android platforms and is integrated with the enterprise directory that enables business users to find and connect with colleagues quickly and easily.

In the second half of 2016, BroadSoft plans another mobile-first application that simplifies the joining of scheduled meetings like traditional conference calls as well as UC-One’s My Room collaboration environment when on the move.

UC-One Communicator for Chrome

UC-One Communicator is BroadSoft’s full-featured Unified Communications client that provides user access to all UC-One Services. Already supported on PCs, Macs, smartphones, and tablets, UC-One Communicator for Chrome extends the platform reach to Chromebooks with WebRTC access to voice and video, chat, and collaboration tools like desktop and application sharing. UC-One Communicator for Chrome delivers an intuitive and integrated user experience to address the full range of UC-One capabilities, while integrating with Google Apps for Work.

UC-One Enterprise Portal

UC-One Enterprise Portal enables enterprise end-users and administrators to manage UC-One Services directly without requiring Service provider intervention. UC-One Enterprise Portal is tightly linked to the UC-One feature set enabling user self-management, enterprise administration, and service provider configuration to quickly and easily deploy, and manage UC-One offerings from start to finish. The Portal includes the tools to manage adds, moves, and changes for users and services, update FMC attributes, manage desktop device characteristics, and handle site configuration, monitoring, and analytics.
