Airtel Payments Bank CEO Anubrata Biswas said, "Taking our commitment forward to empower women in rural India to embark on their entrepreneurial endeavours, we are collaborating with Frontier Markets and Mastercard on She Leads Bharat:Udyam".
The project will be financed by the Mastercard Impact Fund, which will contribute money and the Center for Inclusive Growth's global expertise to open up networks, technologies, and resources for women-owned small companies. According to Ari Sarker, the president of Mastercard for Asia Pacific, more women are starting businesses and entering the workforce in India, which is boosting the country's economy.
"When these business owners can access credit and digital tools, they can keep expanding and become more resilient," Sarker added.
The second-largest payment processing company globally is Mastercard Inc. It provides a variety of payment-related services and the processing of payment transactions. Purchase, New York serves as its corporate headquarters.
