In an exclusive interview with CIO Tech Outlook Magazine, Gopala Naidu, Founder & Director at Marconi Technologies walks us through the unique traits of the company:

How do you think the market opportunities have been developing in the low code and no code market? What are the factors driving the growth?
The low code and no code market is experiencing significant growth and presents promising opportunities, particularly in enterprise low code application platforms. Many enterprises, especially in sectors like manufacturing and the public sector, have limited coding skills and a focus on their core operations rather than IT. Developing applications using traditional technologies like .NET or Java is time-consuming and expensive. Additionally, the process of updating and enhancing these applications can be cumbersome. This pain point is where low code and no code platforms come in. As a go to market partner for Mendix, which is a frontrunner in the space, we have been successfully catering to various industries such as manufacturing, public sector, and fintech.

What are the expectations when a client approaches you with a platform and solution? How have you been meeting those expectations as a company?
When clients approach us, their primary expectation is to have their applications developed quickly with deployment options for both on-premise and cloud environments. They also desire the ability to train their IT resources to develop simple applications on their own. As a company, we meet these expectations by positioning ourselves in the low code and no code space, specifically with the Mendix platform. We leverage their expertise in both low code and no code development, allowing us to cater to a wide range of client requirements. We focus on faster development cycles and prompt application enhancements to provide a competitive edge. Our aim is to empower clients to convert critical Excel sheets into applications, enabling better trace ability and enhanced operational efficiency. We also support them with POC when it comes to developing applications and showing them how it actually works.
What sets you apart from other players in the low code and no code market?
As a startup established last year, we offer a range of products and solutions, including the Mendix low code no code platform. Further, as we are partnered with AWS, we also handhold clients in their cloud deployment. We also focus on building collaborations with other technology consulting companies to carry out innovative projects and product development. This collaborative approach allows us to create a complete ecosystem and cater to diverse client needs. We primarily target the B2B segment, understanding their pain points and offering tailored presentations and demos to showcase the platform's capabilities. We differentiate ourselves by providing end to-end solutions, from understanding requirements to delivering the final product. Our subscription-based cloud native platform ensures flexibility in licensing applications, and we offer additional services such as training and expert guidance to support our clients throughout the engagement process. Also, we help our clients in modernizing their legacy systems to stay at par with the changing market dynamics and technology evolution. To top it off, we also cater for our clients in the industrial sector with Siemens Industry Software products and Desktop Metal Additive Manufacturing solutions for Polymer & Metal parts.

Marconi Technologies aims to revolutionize businesses through its expertise in low code and no code application development, cloud migration and additive manufacturing

How do you ensure a feasible return on investment (ROI)for your clients? What is your approach?
Our subscription-based model and cloud deployment options contribute to a feasible ROI for our clients. We follow a "Pay As You Grow" model, where the standard cost of the platform is determined by the client's usage and the number of applications they develop. We offer different platforms based on their requirements, and the cost is defined based on the number of users. Our approach emphasizes cost comparisons, long-term benefits, and regular platform upgrades to ensure clients maximize their ROI. With the flexibility to deploy on-premise or in the cloud, clients have scalable options to suit their specific needs.

What are your expansion plans for the company in the near future?
Our goal is to scale up, expand our presence, and grow our client base. We are actively engaging with prospective clients and aim to secure contracts in the coming months. As Siemens products transition to a software-as-a-service(SaaS) model, we are aligning ourselves with this concept. Furthermore, we aim to expand our presence in additive manufacturing solutions, both in metal and polymer printing. Our vision is to create separate strategic business units for each of our technology solutions.
