SALT LAKE CITY, UT: Alpha Bay that offers mobile, cloud and SaaS-based point-of-sale and mobile commerce solutions to retailers launches its Enterprise Class Point of Sale product “AIRS” (Adaptive Integrated Retail Solution) with enhanced mobile and cloud capabilities.
AIRS provides a true enterprise services architecture (ESA) offering distributed, multi-tier design developed in Java, supporting both large, mainframe-class, multiprocessor Linux based servers and scalable databases. This architecture provides a rich, Web Services client experience for everything from complex data analysis and planning or vendor and distributor collaboration, to lightweight, graphic, easy-to-use, point-of-sale terminals, mobile devices and direct consumer web stores.
According to Michael Kelly, President of Alpha Bay, AIRS is a state-of-the-art retail system solution that helps in accelerating Enterprise Class Retailers growth and profits. Unlike legacy point solutions that are loosely integrated, AIRS solution offers scalability, manageability and accessibility to any retailer.
Alpha Bay’s technology includes:
- An integrated business intelligence (BI) engine that offers a real-time analysis of a retailer’s complete business, including a portal-based dashboard, and all without programming SQL statements.
- A true DDSC architecture which allows inventory management to be real-time, driven by consumer sales rather than annual or quarterly forecasting, thus reducing or even eliminating costly OOS, and freeing up massive capital currently tied up in overstocking inventory.
- AIRS is a flexible, scalable, customizable solution and can be installed and configured to support the unique needs of a Fortune 100, worldwide retail chain, while at the same time supporting the requirements of individual retail stores through SaaS.
- Alpha Bay intends to leverage extensive technology and introduce a complete suite of mobile, cloud based multi-tenant solutions to support emerging entrepreneurs, small and medium size businesses later this year
