DULUTH, GA: NCR, provider of consumer transaction technologies, and dascus, an NCR value-added-reseller (VAR) for retail and hospitality, are modernizing the point-of-sale (POS) infrastructure for the German bakery Stangengrüner Mühlenbäckerei.
Amongst the different POS variants offered by NCR, the NCR RealPOS 25 , gives the Stangengrüner Mühlenbäckerei a compact and easy to operate touch-screen POS solution which is ideal for a high-traffic environment. Its open software architecture allows easy installation in the case of future software updates as they are available. The bakeshop uses the EasiPOS cash and Central Store Office (CSO) software that was designed for the bakery business by dascus. This allows subsequent transactions and pricing changes to be easily and centrally managed. Daily receipts are analyzed from a central location, thus providing the bakery an overview of each of its individual branch’s sales. The solution also consists of both hardware and software along with services and support provided by dascus.
“The fact that such a traditional firm like Stangengrüner Mühlenbäckerei has chosen to use our complete POS technology solution really shows how important innovative and efficient technology is for day-to-day retail. NCR POS technology solutions enable retailers to profit from higher productivity and a quicker return on investment,” explains Stefan Clemens, Area Sales Leader, NCR Retail.
The POS technology features an energy-saving processor and runs without a cooling fan, which enables small and mid-sized retailers to realize significant energy savings. Its design is compact, due to which it is convenient and easy to setup and maintain. The retailers can customize the color and branding according to their individual preferences thereby allowing it to be used as a POS workstation or as a multimedia kiosk for self-service applications.
Volker Seifert, CEO, Stangengrüner Mühlenbäckerei, said, “NCR technology allows us to standardize the infrastructure of the cash systems across our branches. We are making the day-to-day business easier for our employees and more pleasant for our customers.”
