The maritime industry will benefit from Ampotech's internet of things enabled energy management system, which was founded in Singapore. Ampotech signed a Memorandum of Understanding to join the Coastal Sustainability Alliance (CSA) on April 25, 2023, along with the other 11 new members.

 

CSA is an alliance focused on decarbonizing Singapore's marine industry through the development of electric vessels, charging infrastructure, power management systems, and coastal logistics optimisation solutions. It was founded in 2022 and is led by Kuok Maritime. With a goal of a 50% reduction in vessel carbon emissions and a 20% reduction in maritime traffic by 2030, the 18 member CSA anticipates investing more than S$20 million into various sustainability initiatives over the next ten years.

The battery-powered PXO e-tug and e-supply vessels, which will be the first and largest locally designed, built, and deployed boats to be in operation in Singapore, are expected to use a lot of energy. As one of the new technology providers in CSA, Ampotech anticipates working closely with fellow members PaxOcean, M1, GenPlus, and ST Engineering to track and optimise this use.
