Fortinet, a leader in comprehensive, integrated, and automated cybersecurity solutions, has joined the PartnerNetwork Program as a Gold Technology Partner, according to Rockwell Automation, Inc, the world's biggest corporation devoted to industrial automation and digital transformation.

Through the convergence of cutting-edge networking and security technologies, Fortinet and Rockwell Automation will be able to offer strong cybersecurity protection to international customers through their partnership. Due to the distinctions between the operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) environments, ICS systems frequently face diverse cybersecurity risks and a distinct threat landscape, necessitating security solutions that are specifically suited to their problems. With solutions that can help connected enterprises defend, consolidate, and scale their security, Fortinet has years of experience securing OT environments.

Air gapping has historically been a key component of OT firms' security strategies. It was possible to lessen the vulnerability of ICS components to online threats by making sure that there was no network connectivity between OT and IT networks. However, the barriers between OT and IT networks are now quickly closing. Fortinet, a market leader in OT security solutions, will serve Rockwell's expanding global customer base in a safe manner.

Rockwell Automation's Dan DeYoung, vice president of product management, notes "More Rockwell clients are considering how linked goods or services might open up fresh revenue streams. To achieve their objectives, companies are demanding Fortinet products since digital transformation initiatives must be secure. Through the use of integrated security technologies created especially for OT environments, our customers are seeking for ways to simplify their security infrastructure. They can get the security effectiveness and dependability they require by working with Fortinet."

According to John Maddison, EVP of products and CMO at Fortinet, "companies will continue to see a convergence of OT and IT, and this transformation will have a big impact on manufacturing cybersecurity." "Customers' journeys toward digital transformation will be made safer by the Fortinet and Rockwell Automation cooperation. Through the reduction of client vulnerability to cyber risks and assistance with centralising visibility and administration of their security architecture, our partnership with Rockwell will promote secure connected enterprises."
