A strategic partnership between Intel and SAP SE was announced with the goal of delivering more robust and long-lasting SAP® software landscapes in the cloud. The cooperation reinforces Intel's focus on delivering incredibly powerful and secure instances for SAP, powered by 4th Gen Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors, with the goal of assisting customers in gaining more scalability, agility, and consolidation of existing SAP software landscapes.

Intel's 4th Gen Xeon processors offer much greater performance numbers when compared to earlier generations of Xeon processors using SAP Application Performance Standard testing, and these outstanding findings will be provided to SAP clients all around the world. Additionally, Intel supports virtual machine (VM) sizes now up to 24 terabytes (TB), with the intention of ramping them up to 32 TB with the RISE with SAP solution.

Customers of SAP who have 4th Gen Xeon processors can benefit from the scalability and flexibility of the cloud, as well as quicker processing speeds and increased performance with up to 38% CPU power savings1. By combining these technologies, users should be able to rapidly and simply implement the RISE with SAP solution while also gaining the security and dependability they require to manage their operations.

"Many of the world’s largest SAP S/4 HANA® systems run on Intel architecture," said Christoph Schell, chief commercial officer at Intel. "The new cloud computing experience powered by 4th Gen Xeon will not only help SAP customers meet growing compliance and security requirements, it will also enable them to apply advanced technologies for faster, more secure, integrated business processes."

Of all the CPUs on the market, Intel's 4th Gen Xeon processors offer the most built-in accelerators. Customers may optimise their enterprise resource planning for RISE with SAP as a result of improved performance and decreased total cost of ownership (TCO)2.
