Cavaform, Inc. ("Cavaform"), a world leader in tight tolerance precision tooling and moulding, has been purchased by SyBridge Technologies ("SyBridge"), a firm devoted to offering value-added design and manufacturing solutions across numerous industries. Since its founding in 2019, this acquisition marks Sybridge's fifteenth.

Cavaform, which has its corporate headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida, increases SyBridge's market share in the high precision life sciences end-market. MTM&D, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cavaform, is a pioneer in supporting moulding for a variety of consumer and life science applications.

Cavaform has a reputation for providing creative approaches to close tolerance tooling for more than 40 years. Customers of Cavaform come from a variety of end markets, although the company is best known for its products in the medical disposables, personal care, and intravenous (IV) catheter tipping tool sectors. Cavaform launched MTM&D in 2008 as a testing and certification company, which swiftly grew to include comprehensive "art to component" moulding services.

SyBridge Technologies was founded in 2019 by New York-based private equity company Crestview Partners with the goal of becoming a market-leading provider of value-added manufacturing solutions that spans end markets, regions, and cutting-edge technology capabilities.

Byron J. Paul, CEO of SyBridge Technologies, said of the transaction, "Cavaform is another important step in our transformation to be the partner of choice for advanced technology-driven design and manufacturing solutions. Cavaform and MTM&D adds to our capabilities in high precision tooling for the life-sciences segment and extends our ability to fulfill needs across the product lifecycle. "

Dave Massie, Owner and President of Cavaform, commented, "We are pleased to join and be a part of SyBridge Technologies' growing family of exciting companies. The combination of Cavaform's experience and SyBridge's breadth of design, prototyping, tooling and software capabilities creates an exciting platform for growth."

Bill McDonough, President of SyBridge's Consumer & Life Sciences Business Unit, added, "Dave Massie has done an outstanding job in building and maintaining a high-quality, close precision tooling and molding company. We are excited to welcome the new members to our team and look forward to working together to support our customers' continued growth."
