Axis Bank has developed India's first-ever numberless credit card for the tech-savvy Gen Zs in conjunction with Fibe (previously known as EarlySalary). Customers who use a numberless credit card benefit from increased security because there is no card number, expiration date, or CVV written on the card plastic. This lowers the possibility of identity theft or unauthorized access to client card information, assuring complete security and privacy.

"This numberless Axis Bank card will prioritize the security of our customers while offering a robust financial solution that empowers the smart and ambitious youth of our nation. Our overarching banking strategy of being connected aims to foster inclusivity and enhance accessibility for the diverse and growing consumer segment," Sanjeev Moghe, President & Head - Cards & Payments, Axis Bank said.

Customers can access their Fibe Axis Bank Credit Card details on the Fibe app, giving them complete control over their information. The card is powered by RuPay, which allows the customer to link this credit card to UPI. It is accepted across all offline stores in addition to all digital platforms and also offers the tap-and-pay feature to its users, as per ETBFSI

“We aim to empower our users with a safe and secure payment ecosystem clubbed with the convenience of UPI payments thereby establishing a fresh benchmark in the credit card industry," said Akshay Mehrotra, Co-Founder and CEO of Fibe.

The co-branded credit card has no application charge and no annual fee for life. It provides benefits such as a flat 3% cashback on online meal delivery across all restaurant aggregators, local travel on top ride-hailing apps, and entertainment on online ticketing platforms. Customers also receive a 1% reward on all online and offline transactions.
