L&T Receives Order to Develop and Implement Energy Management Systems

Larsen & Toubro announced that they have received a contract to design and execute energy management systems in the southern region of the country. The digital energy solutions division of Larsen & Toubro's power transmission & distribution sector has secured the order.
The company announced in a filing with the stock exchange that it has been given the responsibility to create and execute energy management systems in regional and state load dispatch centers in southern India. As a component of the order, energy management system and related software systems will be installed in 12 groups of control rooms.
It was stated that these systems are being put in place for primary and secondary setups at the Southern Regional Load Dispatch Centre and the State Load Dispatch Centers of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
The digital energy solutions division consists of power system specialists offering advanced grid services, energy consulting, and system integration solutions to accelerate the modernization of the electric grid in India, the Middle East, and the USA.
