The parent firm of Snapchat, Snap, has introduced a new business unit that will provide retailers and companies with its augmented reality (AI) technologies so they can incorporate them into their apps.

As per Verge, businesses will be able to adapt Snap's AR features for their apps and websites through the new "Augmented Reality Solutions for Business" (ARES) division in order to draw users and produce more immersive experiences.

The ARES company wants to assist merchants in increasing conversions and lowering return rates by providing them with augmented reality shopping solutions.

In order to accomplish this, ARES will provide its clients with expert services spanning from product marketing to customer support. According to insiders, this is in addition to the features present in its first solution, the "Shopping Suite," which is targeted at retailers in sectors including fashion, clothes, accessories, and home furnishings.

Virtual try-on capabilities in the Shopping Suite allow customers to try on clothing, eyewear, and shoes.

They can also upload a photo of themselves to see how they would look, or they can engage with augmented reality experiences to see how the goods would actually look on their bodies.

The research also noted the existence of a few more tools, such as one that offers customers fit and sizing recommendations depending on their body type and dimensions.

The Shopping Suite also comes with the Enterprise Manager Backend system.

The company claims that it would simplify the usage of its software development kits by businesses, enabling them to design augmented reality experiences and even test real-time performance metrics, according to the report.

In the meantime, Snap has unveiled its brand-new chatbot for Snapchat that uses artificial intelligence (AI). It uses the most recent GPT technology from OpenAI.

According to the business, the "My AI" chatbot will be made accessible to Snapchat+ subscribers this week as an experimental feature.
