BDx Data Centers has opened Southeast Asia's first hybrid quantum AI testbed. The testbed is located at BDx’s SIN1 data center in Paya Lebar, Singapore, and is the first innovation of its kind. It is designed to combine traditional computers with quantum processing systems and provides a promising step towards a genuinely innovative phase of data and computational innovation throughout the region.
With the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU), the arrangement allows Anyon’s state-of-the-art quantum systems to operate in BDx’s flagship site. The quantum AI testbed is framed as an AI innovation center, allowing startups, enterprises, and governments to prototype and scale the world-changing potential of quantum-enhanced AI.
"At BDx, being future-focused has been intrinsic to our DNA," said Mayank Srivastava, CEO of BDx. "Our journey, starting with deployment of the world's most advanced Nvidia GPUs in the region to the first quantum computing integration into our data centre, is a testament that we have gone from keeping pace with innovation to driving innovation. Together, we are building an open platform to create new pathways to experience the transformational potential of quantum computing."
The initiative also directly supports Singapore’s Green 2030 and Smart Nation initiatives, emphasizing sustainable and intelligent innovation. SIN1 stands out as one of the nation’s most energy-efficient data centers, having achieved a 20% energy efficiency boost through smart automation and next-gen cooling technologies. The facility is further enhanced by Singapore’s first AI-powered digital twin, which allows real-time optimization of energy use and system performance.

Dr Jie (Roger) Luo, President and CEO of Anyon Technologies, stressed that this integration is “A modern computer today is essentially a whole data centre. Putting a modern hybrid quantum computing system at BDx’s SIN1 data centre is a monumental achievement in modern computing infrastructure. By connecting QPUs to CPUs and GPUs, we’re breaking down barriers to implementing quantum algorithms and potentially quantum applications. This decreases the barriers to adoption for enterprise customers like financial institutions in Singapore and helps them onboard talent and create true, differentiating business value.”
Under the agreement, BDx will provide dedicated access to the AI testbed, providing developers and businesses the opportunity to prototype, scale, and commercialize the next wave of innovation, with the intention of accelerating adoption of AI and quantum technologies throughout Southeast Asia.“Operators in Asia play a vital role in helping build the ecosystem necessary to accelerate AI’s adoption in the region.
Singapore is a global hub for innovation and an optimum environment for our AI testbed. We are providing developers the necessary tools to experiment, prototype, and scale their ideas quickly and effectively,” said Srivastava. In the future, BDx and Anyon plan to introduce the hybrid quantum model to additional markets in the region, including Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, establishing Southeast Asia as a focal point for developing and shaping the future of AI-powered intelligent infrastructure.
