Bangalore: The wireless infrastructure market pioneer, Ruckus Wireless (NYSE: RKUS) introduced the first two models of its new Ruckus ZoneFlex T300 Series outdoor 802.11ac access points (APs) recently. The light and small factors of the two narrow band models ZoneFlex T300 omnidirectional and ZoneFlex T301n are designed specifically for stadiums, railway station platforms, dense metro/urban hot zones , business parks and on the like high density user environments.
Named a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, Ruckus Wireless is credited with developing the first Smart Wi-Fi products and technology that extend the range of Wi-Fi signals and automatically adapt to environmental changes. The company was born in 2004. With the current market cap of $928 million, the brand Ruckus Wireless has been leading the industry in performance innovation since its inception. Now, it has added two more grand products to its inventory.
The ZoneFlex T300 model has a special quality of integrating the patented Ruckus BeamFlex+ technology which brings the product under one-of-the-first-kind heading. This enables the product to work with optimal performance and interference mitigation in challenging RF environments. In addition, the model is also backed up with the ChannelFly technology for predictive channel selection based on real-time capacity analysis of all RF channels. Besides, the device can either be operated as a standalone AP or be centrally handled by the external controller.
The ZoneFlex T301n model possesses internal narrow beam antennas which enables narrow sector coverage for very high performance. The exceptional features like narrow beam and adaptive antennas help in focusing RF energy into a specific area for flexible and directed coverage which maximizes network performance. Both the models feature IP-67 water and dust proof plastic enclosures and wind survivability characters. They also offer flexible wall, pole or ceiling mounting options that ensure undistorted Wi-Fi signals. With maximum deployment flexibility and management options, the products support up to 500 concurrent users per AP and co-location operation through their distributed antenna systems (DAS) and small cell radios.
Commenting on the groundbreaking innovation, Greg Beach, Vice President of Product Management, Ruckus Wireless adds, “Our ZoneFlex T300 Series combines carrier-class, high-capacity, high-density outdoor Smart Wi-Fi radio technologies with incredibly lightweight and compact form factors. Both are easy to install, and are ideal for service providers and venue owners looking to quickly deploy reliable outdoor Wi-Fi networks in environments such as stadiums, train stations, and parks. They’re 50 percent lighter, significantly smaller in overall size, and offer a much lower total cost of ownership, compared with other products on the market that aren’t nearly as feature-rich”.
